Miracle of Christmas -

Live at the Zoo

You are invited to join with us as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ through a live re-enactment of the Christmas story featuring animals from the zoo. The twenty minute pageant will be presented 3 times each evening. Live music before and after each pageant will be provided by local churches and performing arts groups.

December 21, 22 and 23

7:00 p.m. - 1st Pageant

7:45 p.m. - 2nd Pageant

8:30 p.m. - 3rd Pageant

Helpful Information

 

Dress appropriately for the weather; the celebration will take place outdoors just inside the zoo entrance. The remainder of the zoo including all animal exhibits and the zoo gift shop will be closed from 4 p.m. on during these dates so we can present this holiday program to you. Gates will reopen at 6:15 p.m. for the program. This is a well-attended event; please allow plenty of time for parking. Overflow parking is at Grange Hall Elementary school with free shuttle service to the zoo.

Krispy Kreme doughnuts and hot chocolate will be sold at a nominal fee to benefit local charities.

Musical Performers

Beautiful holiday music is provided each year by children, youth, and adult choirs from various church denominations in the community. Bell choirs, instrumental groups, soloists and professional singing groups add their talents to help make each evening truly special.
